TRAINING METHODS

The ASISTIM Flight Dispatch Academy offers a variety of proven training methods that suit the needs of both students and trainers. The most common approach is on-sight classroom training at the customer’s facilities. Flight dispatch training can also be conducted at the ASISTIM facilities in Hannover Germany.

When the movement of students and/or trainers is restricted, ASISTIM also offers virtual classroom training. The virtual training platform is based on leading international e-learning software which allows the ASISTIM Academy to maintain high-quality standards while ensuring full safety for both students and trainers.

ASISTIM has a thorough understanding of the challenges that aircraft operators face when training flight dispatchers and flight operation officers. We run a full-scale Integrated Flight Operations Center IOCC that oversees the operations of 70 aircraft in various areas such as Operations Control, Flight Planning, Crew Control, Crew Planning and Back Office Support including Operations IT.

ASISTIM knows and appreciates the benefits of well-trained flight dispatchers due to its own everyday practical experience.

The challenging ASISTIM Flight Dispatch Academy training programs fulfill all regulatory requirements.

The programs are based on the ICAO recommendations laid down in Annex 6, Part 1, Chapters 3, 4 and 10-Doc.10106 and fulfill the EASA Regulations ORO.GEN.110(c).

The License Program also meets the requirements of the German Civil Aviation Authority (LBA) according to the regulations laid down in the German LufPersV.

TRAINING REGULATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The specially developed ASISTIM Flight Dispatch Academy training programs for flight dispatchers and flight operations officers are based the ICAO recommendations Annex 6, Part 1, Chapters 3, 4, and 10.

European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) currently still refers to the ICAO doc. 7192-AN/857 Part D-3 as a relevant reference for the training of flight dispatchers or flight operation officers according ORO.GEN.110(c). However, the with the updated AMC & GM to Annex III (Part-ORO) to Commission Regulation (EU) No 965/2012, the ICAO has released a successor the ICAO Doc 10106, that will become the future reference document. A major change to the new Doc 10106 is that it includes the procedures on Flight Operations Officers/ Flight Dispatcher Competencies-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) as the training standard.

The ASISTIM Flight Dispatch Academy Dispatch License Program also meets the requirements of the German Civil Aviation Authority (Luftfahrt Bundesamt) according to the regulations laid down in the German LufPersV.
